The little stars pulsate when the member from that area is online at that time (active). The stars quit blinking when the visitor leaves the site and they remain on the map for a time.

A city may display more than one visitor when, actually, there are no visitors actually in that city. I notice that I, a Comcast customer in Loganville, shows as visiting from Norcross which, I guess, is the "address of record" or the technical hub for Comcast in this area.

I also think that if someone visits, leaves and then returns fairly quickly, the map will show two visitors from that city when there is actually only one.

Re:Real-time Visitor Map - 2008/05/06 22:19 Oh lawdy! I was JUST trying to decide if Bob looked like Mr. Mistoffelees, Munkustrap, or Rum Tum Tugger!

I think definitely Munkustrap:

Thanks for the cool new toy, Bob!
