Rock City - 2008/09/19 11:37 Hey kids! Just got my latest promo video from last night at Wild Wings in Gainesville. We are trying to book in the Tucker area soon. Possibly in Snellville too, but I need some feedback from you to determine the general interest or lack thereof. With the right turnout, we could play in a small local club and take over the place for an evening similar to what we do at The Oasis. Check it out and email me with suggestions or comments. Thanx. Kevin. http://vimeo.com/1765230

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/19 13:02 Hey Kevin there is a place in Tucker that I visit often called Shortys Pizza, was the Alibi years ago. They have bands on the weekends, it may be too small but you might want to check it out. It also has a patio on the side for more room. I know the owners so check it out and let me know.

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/19 19:20 Just a heads up. The video is in slo-mo because our web site is not set up for HD video and audio. If you go to the link outside the website, you will actually think we sound like the songs we are supposed to be playing. Thank you all for your support. Here's the link again. http://vimeo.com/1765230. It sounds way mo bettah in real time. Ciao!

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/19 19:53 KEVIN,

Please don't apolojize! I think it is very good! Melissa is a very good vocalist. The two of you harmonize in a great way.

Very easy listening, and makes me want to get up and dance! Bring the guitar to the Oasis along with Melissa and do some "Occopollo" for us.

That would be a special treat and not too much equipment to carry!

Much Love,
Jamie

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/19 20:00 Also, check out "The Last Great Watering Hole" also on Lawrenceville Hwy. (If she is still there).......!

Don't forget what used to to be the "Country Club" on Hwy 78. It was Ron's place for years after his place in Roswell went "Belly Up"!

Much Love,
Jamie

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/20 09:02 I sure do agree with Jamie. Excellent video and harmony.
And you have greatly cut down on load in time with the percussion being synthesized (SP).

It looks somewhat different without a normal drum kit behind you. Still sounds great though!!

I was at the Last Great Watering Hole about a year ago and saw Wayne Hardie and his band play. It is a nice venue and it has 2 bars and pool tables. Have not been there since then but I see the sign is still out front.

ROCK ON, ROCK CITY!!!

Stephen B.

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/20 09:58 There is Eastside Station on Highpoint at 78. It used to be the 3 Dollar Cafe then something else. It has a patio area, a well-lighted, large parking lot and great space inside.

Love the video. Melissa has that "Melissa Etheridge or Amy Ray from Indigo Girls" voice. Absolutely love it!

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/20 10:12 Kevin,

The music room at the Last Great Watering Hole is now called The Love Light Room. It would be a great venue for you to play at. The LGWH can be a bit scary but the Love Light Room is seperate. Also in Tucker is the Moonshadow Tavern which has live music as well. Also, as Trey said, Shorty's is a good place too and has great grilled pizzas. Come on down to Tucker....

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/20 19:39 Hey Kevin,
Great video and music!
Have you thought about Eddie's Attic in downtown Decatur?
