SteveB,
I didn't know about the poles but I doubt if they're really for the ladies.

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/21 10:28 I just love Eddie's Attic. The room is small however, and it is a "listening" room as opposed to a "party" room, and I know we have had so much fun partying together at the Oasis.

Doug, if you know anymore about whether they allow full bands or just quiet combos please let me know as that was another concern of mine.

Thanx everyone for all your input. I have spoken to Moonshadows, Flanigans, Shorty's and Eastside and am weighing the options. I like Moonshadows and Flanigans because they are big enough but not quite as roomy as Eastside. They are the size that if we had a typical turnout like Ida puts together at the Oasis, we would own the place all night. I will keep you posted.

Here is my updated web page for ROCK CITY! We have some cool audio from the Wild Wings night, and you can please sign up a a friend of ROCK CITY. Then we can inundate you with offers for free baubles and trinkets for high prices. Here you go..........

ps.. I welcome all of your feedback, and will start gearing up for the big night when all of us can celebrate together. luvyoumeanit..Kevin

Yes Ida, they do have karaoke! So Steve And Steve get ready to sing!
Just google "Eastside Station Snellville" and you'll see what's up!
Eastside is closer to some dragons than Oasis and if Rock City is there you know we'll be there too! What better incentive than a great band and shorter ride?
I live 3 blocks from Eastside and could walk home! (But wouldn't dare!)

For us to "own a place" the whole night is great, but remember, we KNOW you're great and the regular customers of whatever location you choose will help spread the word!

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/25 01:53 Kevin, I really like "Still Haven't Found" and "Midnite Rider". I've always enjoyed "We Belong To The Night" and can't wait to hear your version!

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/25 06:31 Hey Laurie, Thank you for the comments. I particularly like our version of "Still Haven't Found" as it is paying tribute to U2's sound on acoustic guitar while adding an extra dynamic with the 2 voices and the dramatic harmony. I have seen people's jaws drop when playing it.

If you like that and Midnite Rider(another cool harmony by moi) you will love "We Belong to the Night". I always liked it before, but I saw Pat Benatar with Martina McBride on Crossroads perform it and was blown away. That's the way we do it with just a hint of the old vocal harmony tossed in. Ask Ida or Linda and they will tell you it's good.

We will be back at Wild Wings in Gainesville tonite filming and recording again if anyone wants to come out. The sound man loves it when we play Ramble On by Zeppelin. He starts throwing the vocal echo effects in and it starts really sounding like Led Zep II. When the echo peaks, I switched to Whole Lotta Love and it really sounded cool.

Still working on setting the gig up. Don't Give up on us Babe......

Re:Rock City - 2008/09/25 09:56 "We belong to the night" is the best! I'm sure anywhere they play Kev & Melissa will have a big
following. We celebrated Heather's birthday last
year at he Wild Wing Cafe and all her college
friends were hooked. They love Zeppelin and a lot of the old music. Melissa sounds like Melissa Ethereridge and is totally HOT !!!!
