ROCK CITY rumors - 2008/10/07 18:23 Did anyone hear that ROCK CITY is playing in Tucker soon? I heard they were putting a gig together. I heard it was sometime in November. I am just asking.

Re:ROCK CITY rumors - 2008/10/07 19:08 Laurie, all I can say is that I am BUSTED! Yes the rumor has been confirmed. ROCK CITY will be at Moonshadows in Beautiful downtown Tucker on Nov 14! They wanted a cover and I said NO dice! So I will get all the details up before the 18th Oasis. It is a Friday night so hopefully no one has to get up early on Saturday.

I told the owner that we could fill the place. He said if so, we would be back again. And, if this show works out and we do get a return gig, maybe we can get some of the alumni musicians up for a little jam(maybe this night too). Stay tuned and we shall all have a ball.

Steve Bird gave me a head's up to the Moonshadow Tavern Tucker web site and ROCK CITY is listed as "Kevin Tobin Band". I will correct that soon. Real soon. Keep those cards and letters coming.

I just re-read this post and realized the show date is the 14th … but daggum if I didn’t mark the 21st on three different calendars!

This lack-of-nicotine-induced-hallucination means Tim and I may not (probably won’t) be able to make the party after all. November 14th has been taken for many months (300 months to be exact) for a 25th wedding anniversary party.

Many mea culpas for rushing to make the list.

(And, no, I’m not going to wish a divorce on the happy couple between now and 11/14/08 in order to actually see Rock City live and in-person –

!)

Oh well – maybe we’ll be able to make Rock City’s return visit to Moonshadows …
