Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/08/25 10:59 I work with pearls. If anyone is thinking about forking out hundreds of dollars on pearl stud earrings or dangling pearls, or silk-strung traditional pearls or anything you'd see similar to pieces in the Sundance catalog...please call me first! I can save you hundreds of dollars and let you be involved in design ideas. I work with 14K yellow or white gold or sterling silver and my prices are less than half of what you would pay in the stores. I also do a lot of bridal jewelry. Send me a pm if you'd like to talk. Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/08/25 11:06 Wow Dana! That's very cool! We'd love to see some of your designs.

If you have a website, you should post it.

Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/08/25 11:15 Yes, please, Dana, if you have a website, post it! I have a friend getting married next year, and her maid of honor (my acupuncturist) and I may need to talk to you about designs. I'll tell the acupuncturist when she wakes up this morning.

Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/08/25 11:18 Beverly...I don't have a website but I'm considering it. My business is strictly word of mouth. I do this for enjoyment, but a website might turn it into a swamping business and then I wouldn't have time to play on here. I've designed jewelry for six years and have managed to keep the noise to a dull roar through 'selective' advertising, LOL!

Thanks Jane. I've done bridesmaid designs and bridal designs, mother of the bride, mother of the groom and gifts for the bride from the groom. I LOVE making bridal jewelry...just tickes me pink!

Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/08/25 11:53 Bob can help you with a website if you ever decide to go that route. As you know he has quite a business with that! Should be a bunch of folks on here with children who are getting married soon.... Beverly Trainer Williams

Do you design rings, too?

Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/08/25 16:04 Nope. Just earrings, necklaces, bracelets. Oooh, are you old enough to remember floating opals? I found these cute little handblown bottles that were teeny tiny and some raw opals and made myself a floating opal necklace! Just like the ones from the 60s! It's so much fun!

Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2007/09/27 11:28 Alright, y'all - first testimonial here -

Dana made traditional pearl necklaces for my wife and daughters - beautiful pearls, very well made jewelry. Thank you, Dana! The girls and Sarah are thrilled. Photo of them with their new pearls is in my profile pictures. Happy to send close-ups of the necklaces to anyone.

Only problem - having to make up story about why my high school classmate (with distinctly female handwriting!) is shipping me a box of something that I can't tell them about! Guys, prepare your stories in advance.

Re:Pearls Pearls Pearls - 2008/09/05 07:49 Okay, all you men. Christmas is coming up. A nice pair of lustrous, round cultured pearl stud earrings nestled in a black velvet box will get the oohs and ahhs you want...for about 1/4 the price of the jewelry stores.

Let me know...

(some Tahitian or South Seas Pearls would get an even bigger ooh and ahhh... I do them too at about half the cost of the stores)
