Re:Who remembers this! - 2008/12/17 10:49 Lisa, I remember the "Love Is" cartoons. I have one of them glued into one of my senior scrapbooks. I'll have to go through them all to find it and will post what it says later.

Re:Who remembers this! - 2008/12/17 11:56 Ah yes. I remember the "Love Is" cartoons from my innocent pre-first-marriage days. Problem is I missed the cartoon that showed the little girl loading everything they owned into a U-haul when the little guy was at work and leaving town never to be seen again!! Bitter? Me?....Naaaaaah. Gotta love those starter marriages. Good thing I got it right the second time. Thanks for the trip down memory lane though Lishy. (or as I call it...My own private HELL) Wow, that was therapeutic. I get the same angry feelings every time I hear "Hey Santa" by the Wilson sisters. "Get busy livin' or get busy dyin"

Re:Who remembers this! - 2008/12/17 14:28 Oh my goodness, I had that picture of the teens dancing when I was like 13 and then turned around and bought it at a yard sale a few years ago and gave it to my granddaughter. What a hoot and a holler! There is also similar ones hanging on the wall on "Third Rock From the Sun"

BadMonkey, yes starter marriages are hell! I wish I had seen the one with the little husband getting off work and stopping for beer at the local joint and not coming home, night after night after night after night.

Re:Who remembers this! - 2008/12/17 16:46 Remember?

Mistletoe? yeah!
Kissing Santa's helper under it? hmmmm!
Spiked Egg Nog? yuk

Those keychains with the fuzzy, brightly colored ball attached? I had an orange one I got from Woolworth's at North DeKalb.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood, but the second one is up to you and no one else.

Re:Who remembers this! - 2008/12/18 17:37 I was looking for some old pics a couple of weeks ago and found some picture albums - really 1970'ish with wild flowers, etc. Anyway, I have about 3-4 pages of the Love is.... I can't believe I still had them after all these years. So of course - a trip down memory lane.
