Here's to the class of '75! - 2007/08/29 13:32
Here's to the class of '75! Congratulations to you all! Had I stayed off drugs, I might have made it! Hope you guys will take me back. I left SHS in the 10th grade, to get my act together, that didn't happen. I did kinda graduate from Clarkston Open Campus-with an "Adult" diploma, they gave me a piece of paper. I had a long hard 22 years of using, but hey, I got life now, been clean for 16 years, and hope to see many of you at the reunion!

Wow, Sharon! Congratulations to you! I'm sure you don't know me, but I knew your sis, Patricia, and I married your neighbor, Alan McDaniel. It's great that you were able to get help, and that you were strong enough and brave enough to choose living! I hope I get to meet you in November!
Yay for you! Andie

Congratulations on 1st realizing the issue, 2nd taking action to regain you life and 3 for maintaining the wonderful life you have made for yourself for the past 16 years! Here is to the next 16! We are, as Lee said, a new family and you are very much a part of that.
If the need arises, you can call on any of us at any time!
We are all most proud of you!

Many Congrats to you Sharon, And to you as well Tommy. I have known you (Tom) for many years and growing up in the 70's drugs were everywhere and aplenty. It really is amazing we are all here considering. So my hats off to all of us that have pulled ourselves up and out.

Sharon, we grew up in a time that using was considered cool, frequently even by non-users who were just too afraid to put themselves out there. The 70's were a tumultuous time and a lot of us got sucked into some vicious cycles of behavior that we've had to overcome. I admire and respect you so much for stepping up and coming forward as you have; it is a very brave thing to do. Most people don't realize that bravery isn't the absence of fear; rather it is choosing to face major challenges in spite of being afraid.
I am truly looking forward to seeing both you and Trisha again. You were my neighbors and friends. You've both been in my thoughts many times through the years. I love your website, too. I've looked at every page on it and I'm hoping you'll bring one of your books for everyone to see.
