Re:Alternate Universe??? - 2009/05/28 11:22 My all time favorite sunday school teacher, DOT POOLE, who's son is a member of this site, gave me the best advice ever....which is...."When someone circles you out of their group, you circle them into yours"....or something like that....anyway, I remember us Shamrock students pretty much being in the same socio-ecomonic class for the most part. The REAL enemy were all those Lakeside and Henderson pissants. We had to go to church with them and they were all so snooty in their Villagers shoes and jonromane purses. It always seemed to me that the kids who were SOOoooo popular at church weren't so popular at school and the kids who were popular at school were the outsiders at church.
...as for myself, well, I just tried to do whatever the voices in my head told me to.
I'm just saying.

Re:Alternate Universe??? - 2009/05/28 18:18 Too funny, Susie! There was probably one of us hussies in every class...

All things considered, it was a great time. I seem to remember Ms. Rippy was Mrs. McFarlane, then divorced and became Ms. Rippy, then did she marry Allie Cone, or did I dream that?
There were just a few individuals who gave me a hard time, a slightly larger group who tolorated me, and the vast majority who I suspect never knew I was there. lol I sort of cringe now, when I think about what I thought was important back then. UGH! Thank God for the passage of time and some degree of maturation!

I just tried to do whatever the voices in my head told me to.

I'm just saying.

LOL - I still do that!

Re:Alternate Universe??? - 2010/05/07 20:59 They say High School is your best years. I agree I just wish I though of it then. Had a great bunch I hung around with Guy Wilson being one of them Boone, Larry Swett and others.. I was crazy enough drugs may have calmed me down. But it was great fun and great years. Cliuqe are everywhere we just notice them more now. My favorite teachers where Mrs. Mays and Coach Anderson, what a contrast of character. GREAT SCOTT AM I REALLY THIS OLD?.
