Re:Quick! - 2010/05/17 18:58 Never met an ice cream I didn't like....

Anyone else remember Farrell's Ice Cream Parlors? For high-school guys there was a great challenge in a "Zoo" or a "Pig's Trough"... how American and how ridiculous. They seem to exist now in California, but all I saw in the east seem to have gone away.

Don't know HOW I got to be twice the man I used to be.... hmmmm????

Only thing that has stopped me from hitting 500 is having teenagers in the house. Any ice cream that enters our house evaporates overnight...

Farrell's menu, for nostalgia sake... http://www.farrellsusa.com/FINALFarrellsMVMenu.pdf

Re:Quick! - 2010/05/26 14:39 I remember the trough !!

I also remember Paul Williams working there and sliding us items under the table so to speak.
He met his current wife there,, Mona.

That was a great place to hang out and indulge yourself.

Wasn't the trough free if you ate it with in a certain amount of time?? Can't remember,

Thanks for bringing up those memories !!
