Bill Milum had asked about Mike Finke, and I found a little bit on the web and thought I'd post it. I'm sorry I never met Mike Finke - from what I've read, he did some very important work in the world where engineering meets the law. Work he published is still being referenced by the engineering industry around the world. He is another terrific example of Shamrock's impact on the world, and I hope this information accurately honors him.
1956 Michael Ross Finke, born 22 Nov 1956, Harris County, Texas, to Roscoe John Finke and Lila Lucille Thompson.
1972 Living in Georgia when he was issued a Social Security number
1975 Graduated from Shamrock High School, Decatur, GA
1980 His father, Roscoe John Finke was a Professional Engineer, and resided at 2979 Mt. Olive Dr, Decatur, at the time of his passing in 1980.
1981 Graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech
1981 Earned Master’s Degree from The University of Georgia
1981 Issued Engineer-in-Training License, Georgia
1986 Issued Professional Engineer License by examination, Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors , was licensed until 2002
circa 1987 Earned Law Degree from Georgia State University
1988 Admitted to the Georgia Bar
1997 His Contemporaneous Analyses of Excusable Delays, published in Cost Engineering, 1997 is included in a section of AACE International’s Professional Practice Guide to Planning and Scheduling, published by the Australian Cost Engineering Society.
1997 Published Claims for Construction Productivity Losses, 26 Public Contract Law Journal 326-28 (1997)

2002 Michael R. Finke, construction attorney Michael Ross Finke, 45, of Dacula died Thursday, April 4, 2002. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Dacula at the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S. Lee St. in Buford.
Born in Houston, he was employed with the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta as a construction attorney. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in engineering and later received his master's degree in engineering. He earned his law degree from Georgia State University.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Bagley Finke of Dacula; a daughter, Shannan Finke of Dacula; a son, Brandon Finke of Dacula; his mother, Lila Finke of Gainesville; and a sister, Cindy Williams of Gainesville.
2006 Internationally, reference continues to be made to his Claims for Construction Productivity Losses, in materials of - The Journal of the Architectural Institute of Korea Structure and Construction, - The Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering, and the - NUTAU 2006 Conference on Architecture & Urbanization at the University of Sao Paolo, Brazil.
