Re:Peckerhead of Pea Ridge - 2007/09/23 13:45 My family moved to Georgia from Virginia the summer of 72 and we rented a house located on the corner of Terri Lynn Court in Tucker which was just a stone's throw from Wilkes Market......and like the other kids on the street ( Johnny Hall, Tommy Henderson, Vicky and Johnny Smith, Ann Marie and Jim Carnahan, Kim and Lisa Cox, Eddie Luther , Kenny and David Hilliard) , I was soon making regular trips to Wilkes for Now-and- laters ,Pixy Stix ( the giant one that you inevitably "chugged" and then nearly choked to death on) , BB-Bats, Giant Sweetarts ( consume too quickly and your tongue would be numb) and so on.....and my mother raved about their meats ( back before red meat became a dirty word and before pork was called "the other white meat").....it was a great street to live on - lots of dodge ball, croquet( or the bastardized version - called Poison Ivy I think), tetherball, wiffle ball and my first encounter with that southern phenomenon known as the "pine cone" battle.... my friendship with the Coxes led to my playing ball a couple seasons at Glenlake.......Good times, Good Memories.......Lorraine

Re:Peckerhead of Pea Ridge - 2007/10/03 11:22 Hey to all native Pearidgeans!!!
I actually ran into Paul Traylor a while back at a Hemmingways reunion at Woody's in Snellville. He had a girl friend and I think he was living in Florida. Of course Ron Kimble was the entertainment. He has not changed a bit except for the fact he's bigger and has a hard time sining 2 songs in a row without his inhaler and a break. Hope you all will be at the reunion. Even if I don't know anyone well have a good time. I hope all the Pea Rige people could show up. I have lost contact with so many people.

Re:Peckerhead of Pea Ridge - 2010/04/14 15:32 Here's a classic Pea Ridge thread -- who could forget that title? Some of those old posts got 1000s of views...what a shame we can't continue to reunite forever...sort of like that first kiss, right Jay?

Just messin' with ya'll! Spring has worn me out and I just stopped in to talk to my computer for a while...I promise not to roll off any more threads.
