Re:Butler Shoes @ Perimeter Mall - 2009/03/26 22:30 My brother Clark used to work at a shoestore at North DeKalb Mall. It was on the corner inside across from Woolworth's. I think it was also Butler's. I'd sometimes have to give him a ride home from there on SHS football nights and miss the games. What a drag.
Kathy Early used to waitress at Woolworth's (same mall). She could make a heck of a good, peanut butter pie!
I worked at Grandma's Biscuits; not "in" North DeKalb Mall but up Misletoe just outside the parking lot at Rich's. With part of my first check I bought The Associations Greatest Hits vinyl album at Rich's. Do you remember the record dept. there? It was in the "Budget Shop". Go from Rich's main store and past the sunken snackbar and over to budget shop. Then hook a right at the first main aisle and go straight. The records were at the end of that aisle and on the right in the corner.
Holly Jackson (70) worked at that snackbar. Paul Lindsay (70) also worked at Rich's but don't know what dept.

Re:Butler Shoes @ Perimeter Mall - 2009/03/26 23:10 I do believe there was a "Butler's" at North Dekalb Mall for a very short period of time. The shoe FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFene that I am, I would know. Sure I dontated those pair many years ago and wrote them off!

Re:Butler Shoes @ Perimeter Mall - 2009/03/27 17:11 I got my favorite pair of suede boots at Butlers at North Dekalb. They had fringe down the sides. Loved those boots.

Re:Butler Shoes @ Perimeter Mall - 2009/04/22 15:37 I don't think I recall Perimeter Mall, but my dad taught me to drive in the North Dekalb Mall parking lot. In those days you could drive with a learner's permit on your 15th birthday, so he was teaching me when I was 14! Wonder if that is still the law...
