Re:Kudos to Laurie Early!! - 2008/07/03 23:35 Laurie,
I haven't been in this good a mood in such a long time.
I've always been surrounded by all these young punks working for me in the resturants all these years and It was just so refreshing to be around all you ole farts. My hair didn't seem to be as grey tonight... My waistline seemed appropriately proportional for someone still in his forties. I did have to speak up a little so that y'all could hear me, but I didn't mind. None of you had any idea how ridiculous my hair looked back in 8th and 9th grades. Thank you so much for the personal invitation to join your group. Please ask me again next time....provided that you don't invite anyone that actually knows the real me.

Thanks again for the ego boost....Sorry it has to be at all of y'alls expense, but I just figure that your ego is much more self assured than my fragile one.

Re:Kudos to Laurie Early!! - 2008/07/04 00:09 Jeff,
Speaking for all us "ole hearts", not ole *****, we're glad you were in such a good mood. That mood certainly filled the room and touched every dragon there.
I wish you could've been in Class of 70, but the thing is, you'd fit well in any class.
Enjoy your forties now but be prepared, in a couple of years your half-century mark will arrive; then you'll be in the same boat straining to hear, wiping drool off your chin and leaving your recliner at 7 to reach the bathroom by 8! LOL
Glad you could join us!

Re:Kudos to Laurie Early!! - 2008/07/04 00:27 Steve,
It was great meeting you and putting a face to STP9765!
It's good to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones as well. When I graduated from SHS I didnt even look back. But now I do and can just imagine the hundreds of dragons that have walked those halls. With every gathering, I meet a small portion of all who came after me. I can be a part of them and still have had my time at the rock; the best of both worlds.

Re:Kudos to Laurie Early!! - 2008/07/04 19:37 Thanks Laurie, liked this smallish Splinter grouping and getting going in "baby steps". Laurie, Clarke, Steve E, Kim, Liz, Pam, Demetrious, SteveP, Jeff Shirley,Tommy Moon,Chris Chambers,Steve Retteneller,Phil Eve, Ellen Braschler Eve, Lisa Braschler and Jeff. If I left any one out tell me. WE kicked it kids. Tommy phil saw you next morning at peachtree race as you said you'd be taking those chips off racers shoes. You ROCK!
You all Rock!! Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you Steve R, next time save me a seat next to you so we can chat. Decatur never looked better and I'm willing to come out again if I can. Jeff S. I know you could write a book about our school, I'll be first in line at the autograph signing. Happy 5th of July! ShamrockROCKS!

Re:Kudos to Laurie Early!! - 2008/07/04 21:13 Oh yeah Laurie, you know I had a great time looking through the annuals! And F*U*N visiting with the 'splinter' group. You are the queen of the dragon chat. Happy to report we all left our 'pieces' at home or maybe some were in the car.
