Saturday night live - 2008/11/17 07:34 I was just listening to a live interview by Jane Curtain about the early years of SNL. Does anybody remember those days? Stayin' up late on Saturday night. Who was you favorite? What were your favorite sketches? Very Funny Stuff. "I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie"

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/11/17 09:55 MY ALL TIME FAVORITE:

Saturday Night Live's Sprockets. Mike Myers as Dieter. A guest obliges Dieter's request to "touch my monkey".

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/11/17 12:37 I loved anything Gilda Radner or John Belushi were in. My favorites were Roseanne-Rosannadanna, the Coneheads, Cheeseburger-cheeseburger-pepsi-chip-chip, and the wild and crazy guys. After those two were gone, SNL just wasn't the same and I've not watched much of it since then.

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/11/17 14:05 I liked Mr Bill too. I bought the video tape for my grand daughter and my daughter had a fit, but my grand daughter loved it. "Here comes Mr Bill's dog" Robin

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/11/17 23:49 Yes, those wild and crazy guys in their sexy, plaid pants! The shark and "Candygram". Roseanna Annadanna in a skit as a little kid jumping and bouncing on her bed and the clip of her as a news reporter with that little bit of sleep from her eye and on her finger!
Never Mind!

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/11/20 13:06 Sometime during my 10th grade year I got grounded for like, the rest of the school year. It was October. I can't remember what I did, but it was bad. And I got caught I think three nites in a row doing it. Needless to say that year sucked. But - my friend Jerry Furr, being the good guy that he was, would call me at 11:30 on saturday night so we could watch SNL together on the phone (I know, it sounds like silly school girls) - but this was the extent of my social life. I always enjoy telling that story because he was a true friend. He went out and had his fun - but made it home in time to call me for SNL...

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/11/20 14:10 That is what you call a "TRUE" friend.
A rare species indeed. (Especially at that age).

3.) It is so hard to stay awake on Saturday nights now that I am old...Thank God for Teevo.

Re:Saturday night live - 2008/12/12 12:37 What did I do? I was caught partaking of one of the offerings from our 'green' earth...Not one, not two - but three nights in a row. I ran out of 'chances' with my dad...

Furr - has been with Bellsouth since college graduation. He has moved around the SE but is back in Atlanta - living in Alpharetta.

For some reason I have a much harder time staying awake now when I did back then...
