Ice Cream trucks - 2009/03/24 14:15 In the summer time, we had an ice cream truck in Peach Tree valley. My personal favorite was the Cap'n'crunch bar but I also digged on the maple walnut ice cream cup. Did the ice cream man make it to all the local SHS neighborhoods or just us? He played a happy little tune...I think a variation of "Dixie" in our neighborhood.

Re:Ice Cream trucks - 2009/03/24 15:57 The Ice Cream Man never came down Johns Road, but we could catch him over on Canadian Way in Montreal Woods! That was only if we could scrape up change from under the car seats and couch cushions!

Re:Ice Cream trucks - 2009/03/24 18:30 I don't remember the ice cream man coming down Montreal Way but if he came down Canadian he probably was in our neighborhood one street over. I've always liked Nutty Buddy!

Re:Ice Cream Trucks - 2009/03/24 22:34 Yes, I remember the popsicle called the Pushup. It was cylinder-shaped and I like orange sherbert the best. There were also rainbow with different flavors in one and a strawberry too. I really like the Dreamsicle also!

Re:Ice Cream Trucks - 2009/03/25 14:05 Sorry Suzie that the Ice Cream man didn't make it to your house, but I do remember him coming down the dirt road and stopping there in front of the Mitchell's house. We kids would get all excited and start jumping up and down screaming "The Hunky Mans coming" The Hunky man!
I loved the fudge cycles. UMMMMM

Re:Ice Cream Trucks - 2009/03/25 15:55 WHAT?!?!?!?! You mean he turned around before going all the way to the end of the road????? I feel so cheated! (That's ok, I ususally didn't have the money anyway. My brothers always found the spare change before I did!) ~~ Dragon #9 Susie

Re:Ice Cream Trucks - 2009/03/27 06:49 Oh, the sounds of summertime!

My wife and I were sitting on the front porch the other day, when from a distance you could hear that tinny ring of twinkle twinkle little star... and then came the ice cream man down the street!

I don't think he ever came to our neighborhood on Latham though!
