Click here to see the profile of this user 		Hugh Hendrix - 2011/08/13 19:08 I grew up with Hugh. Even through elementary at Laurel Ridge. His nickname was Baby Huey and he was, in every sense of the term, a gentle giant. Ironically, I was a very small guy and remember kicking Hugh in the shins only to have him endure it, knowing he could destroy me.

At UGA, Hugh developed an incurable blood disease that took his life. There is a Hugh Hendrix Award to this day at Georgia.

My brother played baseball with him at Medlock and we generally goofed around a lot in the 'hood. It was a terrible day when he died. I think it was Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, IIRC.
