Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/01 16:11 I was just curious if anybody knows what happened to him. He was a really funny guy in high school and i was shocked to see he had passed away.

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/01 18:28 Paul,
Tommy is right. Ansley was jogging at dusk in the rain and was hit by a car. The saddest part is that it happened on a Friday and no one knew until Monday when he didn't go to work and they starting looking for him. (He was in the middle of moving and out of touch that weekend.)
He was a great guy and a wonderful friend to my entire family. My son even named his daughter after him -

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/01 20:41 That's really sad about Ansley. Is anyone in touch w/ his brother Mark? Mark was my 3rd grade boyfriend while at Rehoboth Elementary.
Thanks,
Susan Stancliff, class of '77

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/02 10:59 I used to date Ansley . I had heard he passed away, but never knew what happened. Did they catch the driver that hit him? "Don't complain about getting older, so many people never get the opportunity" unknown

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/02 12:56 That is a shame. I guess this happened a long time ago?

I remember he was in my biology class. The teacher was Mrs. Harvey and he used to mess with her so bad she would either start crying or laughing hysterically. He was a cool guy.

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/02 20:50 Ansley died Dec. 27, 1991. It was just a horrible accident and the man that hit him did stop. It wasn't anyone's fault, just the darkness and weather conditions. The guy just didn't see him.

I wonder if that's the same Mark Peacock I knew in eighth grade... and tenth grade. Couldn't be that many Mark Peacocks, must be the same. Hmmmmmm... I haven't seen him since I was 16 years old. I never knew his family, didn't know he had a brother.

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/14 21:36 Yes, I'm sure it was the same Mark Peacock. His brother was several years older, I believe, and much taller. Who are you gsmith?

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/10/14 21:40 I'm Gabrielle, class of '79, and you no doubt don't know me. Mark and I have a history, but I'll let it slide there.

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/11/04 12:03 I, Marie Wilson-Woodward, remember Mark Peacock very well, I had a little crush on him in elementry school. Susan Stancliff, I remember you and Mark being an item because you and I were good friends. Then when we were teenagers he tried to attack me in the pool at North Dekalb apartments. I remember Ansley as well and I'm sorry to hear what happened to him. I wonder what Mark is up to these days.

Re:Ansley Peacock - 2007/11/05 13:43 I remember Ansley. He was funny and we did some partying back in the day. I'm glad to see he is remembered by others as well. Bill Bradford 73
