Neat old Atlanta pics - 2007/10/26 15:37 I've recommended this site to several folks who told me they really enjoyed the old pictures of Atlanta. Most of them are of downtown, some in Decatur. It is really interesting to see how things looked long ago. Check it out - I think you'll like it:

Re:Neat old Atlanta pics - 2007/10/27 22:09 I wasn't driving much at age 5, plus... that wasn't a regular hangout. That is however one of the first places I ever got drunk. I was so horrified that I ordered a shot of Jack Daniels to calm my nerves. I had never drunk it before and I was so nervous I never even tasted it. I thought I was going to catch an STD just by touching the bar. I had my friend get me out of there as fast as possible. Years later Mike wanted to see the place so I took him there. We found out a lot of the GA Tech guys were taking there girlfriends there so they wouldn't feel self conscious about the way they looked. Evidently it helped them get lucky afterwards. Times have changed.

Re:Neat old Atlanta pics - 2008/01/10 14:26 back in the day WPLO was the cool Rock Station..I remember many an hour listening to Paul Revere and the Raiders. WQXI was the other one but I listened to WPLO most of the time until I found WRAS and was sucked in to the sounds of Jimi Hendrix!
