Re:Rock City Rocked The House! - 2008/11/16 10:54
Thank you dragons for making the night so memorable! ROCK CITY really did rock the house (that IS redumbdant, of course we did) but the night was special for me as so many came to listen, dance, and party like rock stars. My thanks go out to, Steve Bird (hasn't missed a gig yet!), Stephen Pappas, Linda Morton Flippin (somebody get a yearbook picture and tell me she does not look exactly the same!) Kim Lester Hill and Tim Hill, as well as there cool and understanding spouses, Mike Kuntz and son, as well as Scott Smethers. What a great personal surprise for me to see Nelda and Judy, both of whom I must say have become such beautiful ladies inside and out! Married life and family has truly given you both an inner beauty and serenity that affected me and many others Friday, and your spouses are both lucky and tolerant(for putting up with all that hard rockin devil music for me). It was also Ida's birthday celebration (and shame on anyone who called in sick) and she was spoiled rotten by Lisa Kerley, Janice Wilson, and Mona Payne as she had 2 huge (and delicious) birthday cakes, the group card and many many adult-style beverages. My lovely daughter Heather and her cousin Jessica-Lou (who made me want to bring back Uncle Tobie and the Wop-Wops) got everyone on the dance floor for "8 Days A Week", "Mony Mony", "I Saw Her Standing There" and many many others. And boys, Susan Callahan and Ann Parker arrived late but still had the hearts fluttering. The only changing those two beautiful ladies have had over the years is to look better. I must say, whether you like ROCK CITY or not, we have the most beautiful fans in town. They instantly were made to hit the dance floor with the regulars at the bar, and got the whole crowd pumped. All in all, an overwhelming success. ROCK CITY did not finish until 1:50 AM and I personally could not have gone on any longer. We gave our all, and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Melissa looked classy and hot, and could not have sounded better. She could not get over how much everyone has made her feel welcome here at the site as well as at the bar. And finally, thanks again to Ron at the Moonshadow for the service and great food. I had a steak that I could not eat all of because it was so big. And they kept everyone's glass filled and happy. And Wayne Hardie of Shamrock land showed up to support us as well, so please check his band out this coming Friday at the Moonshadow as well. Thank you to everyone who came, and for those who did not you really missed a great evening of love, warmth and typical Shamrock fun that will hopefully continue for many years to come. I love you all, and rock on ROCK CITY!
