This was a classic from the past. 96 Rock kept announcing that it was going to change it's programming, I don't remember the year, but I believe it was in the late 80's or early 90's. Then on April 1, they said they were going to play bits of songs that they would be playing. It was a mix of just some plain weird stuff. Then once they got through the whole bit - they yelled April Fools. I can remember thinking they had lost their minds as they were playing the music bytes. Then relieved when it was an April Fools joke.
And then a bitter sweet memory. I had a very dear friend that had Lou Gherigs disease. He was just one of those people that everyone loved to be around, always happy, always playing jokes on people, just a great sense of humor. He passed away last year and was buried on April 1. The stories that were told at his memorial service were so funny. We all thought it was quite appropriate for him to be buried that day. Rest in peace - Rusty.
