Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/05/29 11:19 Lisa, is there a list of registrants? Would that encourage or discourage those on the fence, do you think?

Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/05/29 18:03 Since our 1st payment cut off is not until July 31st, we will post the 1st list closer to that time. As for now, many people are registering but have not yet paid. They are not considered "official" until paid so the list would be somewhat distorted at this time since people are paying via check and mail time has to be considered. I can tell you that there are people registered from pretty much all classes from 1970 - 1980 and others scattered between 1981 - 1987. I have not gotten any registrations from people in classes later than 87 but have gotten questions from people in those classes.

Laura and I know we will get many more registrations closer to the 1st payment deadline and really do encourage people to register early as most all registrations thus far have opted for hotel rooms too and I do not want to run out of rooms and can request to extend the block of rooms as long as they are available. The hotel is not a huge one and only has 183 sleeping rooms. With interest shown during the collection of information from Dragons, we had about 350 people say they were planning on attending. At that rate, if only 1/2 the attendees get a sleeping room, the hotel will be sold out and owned by Dragons! I will also say that several of the people already registered are one that did not even send in their contact info so we expect the number of attendees to be even higher!

So again, early registration is STRONGLY encouraged.

We can't wait!

Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/05/30 01:15 And I should also say, we have now successfully emailed 30 additional teachers/staff that are not members of this site. There are 4 that I can think of right off that are are members of this site and have gotten the notifications Bob sent out for us too!

Also Mr. Loyd is helping us to find others! THANK YOU to Bill Beason and his mother who have gone above and beyond to help find the people who helped to mold us into what we are today!

If any of you have contact info for any teachers in particular, please let me know, I will reach out to them as well or let you know that I have already contacted them. Just email me here or at LLKERLEY2001@yahoo.com

Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/06/14 18:23 I'm looking forward to riding the school bus (if one is available for us) to the SHS tour! Although I was there last summer it will be great to be back there again!
Have you sent Betty Rodgers(math) an invite to the reunion? If not, I can hopefully get her info from Gail Jolly.
Any more out-of-towners planning on attending the reunion? Lisa Braschler? Speaking of out-of-towners, how about in-towners? Ellen?

Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/06/15 22:33 Lisa, Gail Jolly told me that she has lunch with several teachers on the last Tuesday of each month. And I know the restaurant! I'll try and call her about reunion and see who the teachers are that she has lunch with and see if I can get names and addresses. My Tuesdays for this month may allow me to crash their lunch!
Am so looking forward to reunion! Again I repeat myself but it gives me the chance to have a "get-away". woohoo!

Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/06/17 09:33 Lisa,
I realize that this teacher did not teach at Shamrock but our beloved Mrs. King (from Laural Ridge) was a big hit at the class of 78 reunion. Im sure many people would love to see her again. She is "my favorite teacher of all time " to a lot of Shamrock folks.

Re:Oct 10 Reunion - 2009/06/17 22:50 Mrs. King is more than welcome to come! I did not go to Laurel Ridge so did not have the pleasure of having her.

I personally would welcome and and all teachers from any of the elementary schools that feed Shamrock or Shamrock if any of you know how to reach any of them, please pass on the information to them or if you want Laura or I to reach out to them, please send us their contact information.
