ROCK CITY @ american tavern 11/13 - 2009/11/09 09:05
Your wishes have all come true! ROCK CITY is hosting a "mini" reunion sponsored by class of 76 Ida Turco (it's her birthday party too) and it is being held at American Tavern in Loganville this Friday the 13th (feelin lucky?). The tavern is a bit more intimate that Oasis, way better food and quiet nooks for conversation should the band intrude. AND, no smoking!
Ida says get there around 7:30 so everyone can cavort until 9pm when ROCK CITY takes the stage. They will be hitting the 70's really hard (not as hard as they were hit in the 70's, haha) with a bit of the early 80's to help us all remember those feeling from our collective youth. The band wraps up around midnite, unless the party does not want to quit.
The bar manager Stephanie, is very excited about the event, so expect to be treated like royalty by she and her staff (plus she is friends of my daughter and does not want to upset the "old man") and expect to have a warm and fun-filled night with some of your favorite people from high school.
You can sign up on the events register to your left here on the home page, or just call someone and bring them along. Ida really wants to bring back the vibe from the first Oasis parties, where EVERYONE danced, drank, hugged and reminisced about the great old days. Call me with any requests or special needs and I will personally see they are met. See everyone there!
