Site Rules - 2011/05/20 05:03 As one of the Site Moderators, I don't mind deleting comments from any of the Discussion Forums that were accidentally posted 2 or 3 times, or at the author's request. Sometimes I have to remove a post that might be upsetting to other Members of the site. I certainly do NOT want people to think that I am on some kind of power trip when I do this. That is not the case at all. I think carefully before deleting anything. I am merely making a judgment call to remove comments that could cause controversy or hard feelings among Members.

I am posting this just as a reminder of the Site Rules as set forth by Bob Griggs, the Creator/Owner of this website. I hope everybody will understand. Thanks! ~~SMB

Bob Griggs says:

ShamrockReunions.com is designed and intended to be a fun and light-hearted meeting place for Shamrock alumni. All members are expected to conduct themselves as common decency and good manners would dictate; however, the following simple guidelines are published to clarify expectations:

First and foremost, there is no `freedom` to publish anything that you choose on this site. ShamrockReunions.com is privately owned and, as such, `freedom of speech` does not apply. The site owner and moderators may edit or delete objectionable content at their sole discretion.

That being said, we generally allow just about anything subject to the following simple rules:

1. No threats, intimidation, stalking or bullying, expressed or implied;

2. No `dirty laundry` will be aired. This isn`t the site to go after your ex or a former classmate;

3. No politics or controversial issues except for the `Friday Open Topic,` which is initiated by site management only. Keep it light;

4. The moderator(s) are ALWAYS right. In moderating any content submitted by members, he/she is guided only by his/her good judgment and discretion.

Thank you for respecting these guidelines. For almost four years, this site has provided fun and pleasant memories for over 1,800 alumni. Your continued support is greatly appreciated!
