dana - who was your crush on? We are dying to know.

To be honest, I'd rather he didn't know. That way if I ever get to shoot the breeze with him, I can do it without embarassment.

In fact, I'm sorta surprised that anyone is naming names. What if your named 'crush' starts transfixing on your confession, he leaves his now boring spouse behind on the 3rd, and comes to the reunion with 'notions'? (and a roll of duct tape.... I got stalked once and the memory forever lingers... )

Re:How bold are you? (The Crush Thread) - 2007/10/15 12:44 I agree with Dana, your secret crush should remain nameless..

Someone sent me this several years ago:

My friend, without you I would have died
I'm afraid you won't feel the same
And you'll think its some game
But its not, this isn't from my head
It's from the heart, not some book I read
I like you more than just a friend
But you probably wouldn't understand
That's why I haven't told you about this feeling
Rejection is what I'm afraid it will bring
So I continue to have this "secret crush"

You are certainly entitled to your feelings, and trust that they are respected. I had no idea there would be so much reticence on this discussion forum.

I'm not attending the reunion, and I doubt my crushes are "transfixing" on anything. It would be flattering to think that, but I know better.

I'm just a super open and honest person, with nothing to hide. I think it would be flattering to the crush to know that he/she was crushed upon, so I started the discussion. Bad idea? Perhaps. I tried.

Re:How bold are you? (The Crush Thread) - 2007/10/15 17:24 My List could take up the page so
I won't bother putting names out there. Heck some I couldn't remember till I joined this site.

Re:How bold are you? (The Crush Thread) - 2007/10/15 17:33 gsmith -- this thread was a great idea, and I've enjoyed reading it. But I'm like Jenny..too many to list and I'm also too big a wussie to let on to the crushees. And being honest and open is a good thing.

Re:How bold are you? (The Crush Thread) - 2007/10/25 22:54 I named my crush because I know I will never run into him. I'm not coming to the reunion, I have no idea where he is, and I live in Wisconsin so I know I'm nowhere near his location. So it certainly didn't bother me to 'name' him.

Re:How bold are you? (The Crush Thread) - 2007/10/31 08:30 I'll throw my crush out there, but it goes back to Idlewood Elementary from 3rd grade thru 7th. The first girl I was ever absolutely crazy about but too shy to let her know. We kind of went different directions at Shamrock and lost contact. Low and behold we cross paths 35 years later and It's been pure bliss ever since. I wish we had gotten together earlier in life but God had a plan. She is indeed my first and my last love. Thanks Tara Causey for coming back into my life.
