ok, o.k. but I get to take him to Chikfila to "sell ads"

Senior skipping to stone mountain was the best--I remember Mark Hobbs, Richard Mahoney, David Prifti...who else was there? Jeff Neely? Duckworth was there....most fun!

Do you know what is SAD?!? I just opened a letter from my own Seniors' school. They are not having a Senior Stomp (like a prom) because there was a bomb threat...that stinks! I told him he could have a spend the night here but apparently boys don't DO THAT!

Re:WQXI Hit Parade 1968 - 2008/01/10 17:23 I believe the teen club in question might have been "The Electric Eye". It was in the shopping center over at the corner of Briarcliff and Clairmont, I think where the post office is now. We thought we were really stepping out in a "night club" just for us.

OMG, Julie, the terrible chikfila war we had on that forum long ago. I'll sell ads with you anytime. Are there chikfila places up in your area?

And I wanna dance on top of St. Mtn. (but I'm too old to walk, and too scared to ride)!

I would definitely have been up for a BK lunch expedition. I don't think I had a Shamrock lunch since maybe mid Sophomore year. I never really skipped whole days very often. I would always show for homeroom and then selectively edit out certain classes and events that I found boring or miserable.

I'm not so sure I have the stamina to do a grad party the way I would have partied back then. I would probably go into a coma or something.

I'll bet you could walk up the mountain, Gail. If not, we could rig up a drag gurney and pull you up there. I've never danced on Stone Mountain, either.

Re:WQXI Hit Parade 1968 - 2008/01/11 10:12 I only know of one Chik-fila up here. It is a hike from my house. And they don't even have real lemonade. Just that minutemade stuff.

Yes you have Byron! We all remember! But you were pretty "happy" at the time way back then, so I can understand why you don't remember it. Next time at least keep your clothes on, okay Byron?!?!?!?!

(Ohhh noooo..Now I have to run zig zag and duck! AGAIN! When will I ever learn to keep my sassy remarks to myself????)

It's never too late to have a happy childhood, but the second one is up to you and no one else.

Re:WQXI Hit Parade 1968 - 2008/01/11 18:01 It's not getting up there...it's getting back down I'm worried about! I lost the seat of a great pair of jeans on the backside of that mountain one afternoon...(high heel boots!). And it would be even harder wearing that prom dress and tippy little sandals.

But I'll go if Susie will!

BTW, Susie...speaking of therapy, you seem to be having an identity crisis. Or perhaps a case of split personality? One day you're a moderator, then you're a senior, then you're a moderator again...

And I'm worried about this Senior thing. Hank sez it means I'm gonna have to graduate soon, get a life and a real job.

Phooey!

Re:WQXI Hit Parade 1968 - 2008/01/11 23:03 Ummmmm.....NO. I will NOT be dancing on top of Stone Mountain!

Gail, I have noticed the split personality thing, too. I have no idea why I am a Moderator then a Senior and then a whatever! But it's ok...I am used to the multiple personality thing. I kinda even like some of myselves! Bahahahahaha!!!

(Not really, Gail. They ALL like you!)
