Re:Clarkston - 2007/12/17 15:03 My son Doug is 19 and he was also kept by Mrs. Grizzle and so she may have been caring for Danielle when my son was there. She didnt keep Doug everyday..only as needed. I lived in Stone Mountain a that time. There was a Mr. Grizzle that was related to her that was my sunday school teacher at Rehoboth Presbyterian..He was the best. I hear he still goes there and has cancer. His daughter went to Lakeside and the one my age was Lisa Grizzle. Scott West was in my sunday school class most of the time. I wonder where he ran off to.

Re:Clarkston - 2007/12/17 15:17 Do you mean Scott West as in Pam, David, Mark '74, Allen, Doug '78, Scott... (and maybe one more?) from Springbrook? If so, they moved to North Fulton, where they had purchased acreage. Allen died before he graduated (car accident on Brockett), but I don't remember if Mark finished at Shamrock. I think so. I'm amazed to say that I can't remember.

Their dad owned Cherokee TV in Buckhead, where both of my brothers worked as "muscle" during their high school years.

Re:Clarkston - 2007/12/17 16:40 My mother moved to Pearidge when she was 13 years old which would have been 1949 or so and she went to Rehoboth. She lived on Montreal Road before the fork in the road which splits off to Hudson. Her old homeplace became a neighborhood back in the 1970's (cannot remember the name) Ivette Lopez lived in it. She then went to Clarkston as did my stepfather. She graduated in 1953 or so. Her maiden name was Elrod - as in Jeff, Mike and Susie Elrod - my first cousins

Re:Clarkston - 2007/12/18 14:55 I graduated with the second graduating class in 71. Gail I know the partitions were there my junior year but I think they tore them down my senior year. I remember the dances were in the cafeteria before the gym.;

Re:Clarkston - 2008/02/27 22:28 I was in the first grad. class (70) and was one of those that was in shamrock at clarkston high. I don't remember a Larry grizzle. There was a Martha Grizzle in my class. She was an office assistant in the 10th grade. Is she one of the ones you were talking about in your "Clarkston" post? If so, she should be on the "In Memoriam" list. Sorry to hear the sad news about the Grizzle family.
