Shamrock Greek Festival - 2008/02/04 12:22 Perhaps not a true Festival, but we'll do our best!

Since there seemed to be an overwhelming response to the idea of a Decatur gathering, we have a concrete plan.

5:00, February 23rd., at the Athens Pizza House!

Located near the intersection of North Decatur Rd. and Clairmont Rd.. See below for more info..

TJ, I'm with Ida on the Macaroni Grill -- but I've never had their spaghetti because the chicken canelloni is so awesome...and they bring out that loaf of bread with olive oil...mmmmm... However -- I hate the music, and the Italian lessons in the restroom, and we sit in the bar because the restaurant is open and noisy (and you can get a seat and a beer fast!). I think you should test Little Italy on the square in Lawrenceville and get back to us!

And Ida, Tommy and I pretty much agree that Sophia's Valentino Restaurant in the Progress Center is just plain OK. Considering your background in the restaurant biz, you probably wouldn't understand that when you live out a bit, sometimes just plain OK is, well...OK!

Re:Shamrock Greek Festival - 2008/02/10 21:44 I haven't made it to any of the Shamrock gatherings, and my sister Gail says they are simply a MUST. I can practically throw a beer bottle and hit Athens Pizza from my house, so God (and my 4-year-old) willing, I'll be there.
