Re:Please Pray!!!!!! - 2008/02/29 12:39 Great news All!!!! I spoke with my mom in Oklahoma this morning. As of today, all the boys are going to be okay. One of them had heart surgery yesterday morning, but came through the ordeal and it is looking good. Thank God!!!! Andy, is being moved home via ambulance today. Apparently, there was concern that he may contract a staff infection remaining in the hospital? He will have to have surgery on his knee's, but that will have to wait a few weeks until some of his other injuries are better. It turns out that he has only one crushed vertibrae. It will be a long healing process for all of them! Andy will have to face consequences. But, it appears that he has learned a very hard lesson!!!! I am trying to get news on the other two boys that were in the car with Andy and his friend. They received injuries, but thank God, obviously not so severe. Everyone in my family in Enid, are concentrating on Andrew, and so very upset. I am still trying to put all the pieces of this tragedy togeather.

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for the families! I can't express my appreciation enough!!! God bless all of you in a very special way!!!!!!!!!

Jamie & Joe

Re:Please Pray!!!!!! - 2008/02/29 16:39 Terrific news. They are probably referring to a 'staph' infection (as in Staphylococcus). One of my sons' friends was in a bad accident (also alcohol related - kids!) and along with some pretty severe internal injuries he developed a staph infection. They can be pretty serious, but the docs konw what they're doing and how to treat them - he sounds like a very strong young man and he'll pull through this hard-learned lesson, I'm sure. Thank God all involved will be okay. It'll be a long, bumpy road, but he and the other young men are very lucky to have caring, loving families around them. Keeping the prayers coming from here.

Re:Please Pray!!!!!! - 2008/03/01 13:14 Please pardon my ignorance when it comes to spelling medical terms. I don't think I even thought about the possibility that there is another way to spell staph! Being from the corporate environment, the only staph I know is the Staff!!! I will remember this one for sure.

Thank you for your concern, and most of all for your prayers. I know, that the manifest of many prayers from "Believer's" who love the LORD, and carry the "Faith" within their own families, and friends, rejoice in lifting up complete stranger's, and families that they do not know, but agree in spirit, that the "Heavenly Father", can complete any situation for the "Good" in his will!!!! Intercession is a blessing to everyone involved, and a command that "JESUS" ask of his children. Intercession can change a heart, that in turn changes a way of thinking, so that love, mercy, and grace can fill an empty place that needs to be filled.

Intercession allows miracles to come to pass in an instance! My family received a miracle this week! I am thankful that while I am a big mess maker, at times, I have the faith that drives me to ask for the prayers and help that can make a difference.

Oh, please don't apologize - a few years ago I wouldn't have known the difference, either. Now I know way more than I ever wanted about medical issues and the brain, believe me. One good thing I have learned is that the more you learn, the more (and better) questions you can ask the docs when you're trying to find out what is going on. I'm keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers as the recovery goes on. We've received a few miracles of our own, so I know what you mean.
