Hey Tommy, its Cathie Myler. Remember me, I was Walt and "the balone's" neighbor. You asked if anyone remembered Pierre's Foozball? I was there all of the time, but I don't have a whole lot of memories. Maybe it had something to do with the back parking lot and all of the pony kegs. Those were good times. Playing foozball wasn't so bad either. If the cops would have left us alone, it would have been even better. Have you heard from any of the old gang? (Walt, Sonny, Johnny Jones, Sam, etc.) It was really great seeing everyone at the reunion a couple of years ago at Norris Lake. I talked to Janice Wilson and told her we need to get the old gang together and have a party at my house. We have turned our basement into a bar/game room. We even got an old upright arcade game with all the old video games like pac-man, frogger, donkey kong and more. But best of all, we bought a foozball table. I think it would be a blast. Nothing better than drinking and reminiscing(sp?). If your interested, let me know. My email address is cathiemurphey@bellsouth.net.

Hi Lishy, I remember that Burger Chef and one of my close fellow-classmates worked there for a while. But, I don't think anyone in my class is paranoid, especially not me! I didn't ever go to those fooze-ball places but do remember that there was one on North Decatur Rd. near Clairmont. It was in the same strip mall as Evans Fine Foods. My brother, Steve (74,) used to go there a lot with his friends. Not paranoid, not paranoid... am I? Laurie Early

I once worked at that place at N. Decatur and Clairmont. It was called Joker's Palace.

Hey, Tommy! It's Randy Clark. I am so glad to see this thread because I had totally forgotten about Pierre's, probably because I am quite possibly the worst fusball player on the planet. I loved playing pinball and air hockey, though, particularly at Games People Play at Toco Hill. I even remember going to someone's birthday party there although I am darned if I can remember whose party it was.

Hey Randy, good to see you on here, I got addicted to foozball, and several other things too, Any way Scott Bucahnon, and I won the first Foozball tourney on TV, It was on 11 alive tv news, I think we won 50 or 100 dollars, and i never played in another one, and dont remember why ??? But pierres was the best, and the first, a guy and girl named allen, and cathy came down from Virgina, and opened it up, It was one off the first in the southeast !

Seriously....my Mama wouldn't even let me walk on the same side of the mall that the gameroom was on....sheesh! (And since I know for a fact that she had spies EVERYWHERE, I steered clear!)

Being the youngest of six and having a fantastic pair of sneakers will take a person far in life. My rents wouldn't have let me go in a place like that (and of course I wouldn't frequent such an establishment, being the little "Sunbeam" that I am but, "One must know one's enemies"-those sinners-and I'll bet even Jesus would enjoy a game of ASTROIDS now and again! Can I get an AMEN? Happy Cinco De Mayo all Y'all

Elaine, My Dad was worse than my Mama! She was just tough on us so that HE didn't have to come down on our heads! Hehehehe!
And at this point in my life, raising a 14 year old girl, I totally understand the whole "Eagle Eye" thing. Someday SHE will understand and be greatful, too! Right now she is sorta ok with it...but 15 is fast approaching!
And Julie, I , too, was the youngest child of a large brood, AND the only girl. I saw the consequences of my brothers' bad choices and learned quickly to stay under the radar! I am sure I missed out on a lot of good times...but I also avoided "the Wrath of Martin!"

I knew I liked you! I'm also the youngest of five, though not the only girl (one of two). Also (mostly) stayed out of trouble, not because I never did anything to get in trouble for, but watched and learned from my older siblings how not to get caught. It also helped that the older sibs did just enough stuff to make my own antics pale in comparison
