Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2008/07/08 22:54 Jeff,

You obviously are a pearl of continuous stories. I enjoy your playful attitude and the personal, heart felt explosion's that you throw in to the mix! Thanks!

Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2008/07/09 16:59 Are we connected AND do the things we do help us stay connected. They say karma is real and if you spread good karma it will someday return to you.

I was running a small used car business when my autotrader rep brought me his guitar that he wanted to sell. It was an Alvarez, not too expensive but a quality guitar with some abalone inlays and had a good sound. I picked it up and noodled with it for maybe 5 minutes, all the while gabbing about how I love to play and playing snippets of rock songs to see how every fret felt and sounded. I was not really looking at my friend, but when I was done I handed it back to him and told him it was a nice guitar, told him it was probably worth $150 but why sell it? I told him he couldn't replace it for that, and unless he truly needed the money he should go ahead and keep it which he did. This was in 1997.

Lo and behold in 2004, I run into the same rep at a different dealership where I am now employed. He came up to me and asked me did I remember the guitar he showed me a way back when. He then proceeded to tell me that he was awed that day at how beautiful I had made his guitar sound, and that had inspired him to learn to play. After 2 years of lessons, he met a girl and they became a couple and had married. He told me that her favorite thing to do with him is to sit on their porch at night and listen while he sang and played the guitar to her. He could not thank me enough for enriching his life like that, and I must tell you that I almost started to cry it touched me so. The totally random act for me had a profound effect on someone else. I kinda like those connections better because they aren't so eerie.

Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2008/07/09 22:07 Kevin,

Great story! I have always believed that what comes around goes around. It is way cool to love yourself enough to be who you are, and nothing more. That is exactly what makes us individual's and unique. We all have a purpose to fulfill. It's a small world after all!

These experiences make you realize that you have been in the right place at the right time.

Allways be yourself.......It's a risk, but, what the heck. What's the alternative? Screw that!!!!

If you are really into Theoritical Physics - do a google search on "Holographic Universe".

Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2009/04/08 18:22 Matt,
Nice to see you here and loooking around the old forums.
Keep reading, as there are tons of great forum topics.
I haven't heard of a Holographic universe before. I'll check it out.
This stuff is way over my head, but I do wish I could bounce some ideas off someone who really knows physics.
Someone needs to just tell me that my theories are full of crap and I should just go back to making tacos!

Hope you are able to reconnect with some of your old clasmates like I have.

Best to you and your family.

Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2009/04/09 08:09 after having studied many philosophies, religions, beliefs, and Led Zepplin,-i read about the holographic universe and found it to be a culmination of many ideas that completely made sense to me.
I have some crayons and markers that you can color with jeff.

Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2009/04/10 12:48 Even after all this time the connection that began years ago still exists. On the day of the Mystery Lunch, April 1st, I realized when Ellen and I went to the Kudzu Flea Market afterwards that we had wasted a lot of years and good times that we could've had. We had a fun time there and got along just as well.
The friendship was just the same. She still has the same great sense of humor and personality that I remember from high school. So this wake-up call has prompted me to try and keep the connection with the past going and have the best of then and now.

Re:Are We All Conected Somehow? - 2009/04/10 16:33 Oh Laurie you are so sweet and such a good friend. You make "coming home" a pleasant and memorable event, and you are one of the True Hearts of this site.
Sorry to get off subject so here's one to help get back on that track:
